Lauren Morris became a member of Shakes after working on Death and the Maiden in the fall of 2006. She also appeared with HART as Penelope Ryan in the staged reading of Happy Birthday, Wanda June. In addition to being a company member of HART, she has worked in various roles - from actor to director to manager - at the following theatres: Indiana Repertory Theatre, Shawnee Theatre, Arden Theatre Company of Indianapolis, The Phoenix Theatre, Shadow Ape Theatre Company, Indy Fringe, Children's Theatre Institute, The Children's Museum of Indianapolis, SummerStage Repertory Theatre, Brown County Playhouse, Summerstock Stage, California repertory Company, Chance Theatre, and California State University. Lauren has an M.B.A and M.F.A. in theatre management from Cal State Long Beach. Immediately following graduate school she became Executive Director of Long Beach Playhouse, where she led a major artistic and financial turnaround of the revered 82-year-old institution, and she is now the Managing Director of Georgia Shakespeare in Atlanta. Lauren is a proud member of Actors' Equity Association.
